Has
your company ever accepted delivery of an ordered item, only to
have it get stalled, lost or misdirected? How much time is wasted
calling and searching for that item?
Well, our system can track the asset from the moment it arrives,
with or without the use of scanner technology. The scanner is a
valuable tool but, like any tool, it is only as good as the craftsmanship
with which it is employed. At Prorizon, we begin with a state-of-the
art integrated tracking system, and we can give you the maximum
benefit from the utility enabled by the new wireless scanning technology.
With the new wireless scanners, you can have the personnel who are
designated to receive your orders armed with the new hand held wireless
scanners. As it comes in the door it can be scanned and matched
back to the Purchase Order for routing and notification. The scanner
automatically records the date and the time of arrival along with
the name of the person who received it, and it provides signature
capture for verification. All this information can be synched back
into our system or uploaded by radio frequency (RF) transmission.
The new scanners have the value added benefit of providing the user
with all the capabilities of a Personal Data Assistant (PDA) for
calendar, scheduling, ordering and address book functions. Soon,
they will also have the capabilities of an Internet Protocol (IP)
phone built into the back of the unit. So the investment in the
equipment is paid back many times over by the productivity and connectivity
that the device enables.
Prorizon can also employ a mobile bar code printing solution for
label creation. Thus enabled, we can create a label with a bar coded
tracking and/or asset tag. The item can then be automatically routed
to the correct destination, either by Purchase Order or recipient
name. The data retrieved could include the tracking number, the
carton ID, the serial ID, asset tag number, model or manufactured
part number, etc.
Without scanners, the Purchase Order must be manually keyed in,
but Prorizons system then interfaces with our website where
everything is tracked and traced efficiently. The Prorizon system
has been used very successfully in this manner, but like any system
requiring manual data entry it requires procedures for manually
recording that the item has been checked in, the name of the person
who received it, along with the date and time of check-in, etc.
Nevertheless, our reputation for results was initially built upon
this model.
With or without scanners, Prorizon offers superior performance
